Matthew Whitehouse is a writer, editor and creative consultant. He currently holds the position of Arts and Culture Editor at i-D, where he hosts the weekly fashion podcast, Fash-ON Fash-OFF.

Matthew presented the brand’s i-Cons film series, interviewing designers Calvin Klein, Jeremy Scott and Vivienne Westwood. A film he conceived and co-produced – When JME Met Jeremy Corbyn – was credited with an upsurge in youth turnout during the 2017 UK General Election.

As a BSME-nominated journalist, Matthew has contributed to publications such as Amuse, CNN, HERO, HEROINE, i-D, LAW and Moodboard, with interviewees including Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Darren Criss, Noel Gallagher, Caitlin Jenner, Sasha Lane, Shirley Manson, Katy Perry, Mark Ronson, Shaun Ryder, Troye Sivan, Ronnie Spector, Irvine Welsh and Hans Zimmer.

As a con­sul­tant, he has worked for brands including Universal Music, Warner Music, Sony BMG and Vivienne Westwood, creating work across both editorial and video.

He has experience in developing content for major clients such as Chanel, Channel 4, Converse, Diageo, L’Oreal, LVMH, Microsoft, Nespresso, Nike, TAG Heuer and Volkswagen among others.

He has spoken at events for Somerset House, BBC Music and The Hoxton, and DJed around the world for brands including Burberry, Dr. Martens and Kitsuné.

Originally from Morecambe, Matthew is now based in London.
